Description
Join one of Melbourne’s leading fire contractors delivering works across major Tier 1 commercial sites, critical infrastructure and high-profile static facilities.This is not a basic service role. We are looking for a genuinely strong Dry Fire Technician with solid programming and commissioning capability who wants exposure to complex systems, large-scale sites and long-term career growth.
You’ll be joining a highly respected business with strong project pipelines, supportive leadership and the opportunity to work across some of Melbourne’s most recognised commercial environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Programming, commissioning and testing across major fire panel brands
• Fault finding and troubleshooting complex dry fire systems
• Integrated systems testing, cause and effect and networked fire systems
• Organising jobs including materials, scheduling and coordinating site activities
• Supporting installations, upgrades and system modifications across live environments
• Acting as a senior technical presence on site and mentoring junior technicians
• Completing commissioning documentation, service reports and defect tracking
• Working closely with clients, project teams and other trades on site
What They’re Looking For
• Strong experience within dry fire systems, testing and commissioning
• Proven fire panel programming experience
• Ability to read drawings, schematics and fire matrices confidently
• Solid understanding of AS 1670.1, AS 1670.4, AS 1851 and NCC requirements
• Someone technically strong who can work independently and lead from the front
• Electrical / cabling licence
• White Card and driver’s licence
