Role description: Our Buildings Design business has a growing pipeline of work on the horizon, which has created a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join our team to support the delivery of major projects across building services / infrastructure sectors. Role accountabilities:- Delivery and sign-off of both wet and dry fire systems on significant building projects across infrastructure, commercial, retail, health and transport sectors
- Working on re-development and upgrade of existing buildings, new builds projects.. Experience in infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Proactively managing selected projects (or components of projects), taking responsibility for resource allocation, managing the production of analysis and design (including drawings and reports), ensuring the integrity of the overall design (in collaboration with other design disciplines), quality assurance and client feedback
- Seeking new opportunities through project work by building on and creating new working relationships
- Gaining a good understanding of the background of the client’s business and industry to facilitate building effective and enduring relationships and consolidating both company and personal credibility in the industry
- Providing direction to the project team and promoting awareness of technical and commercial risk assessments and mitigation and best value design options.
First and foremost, you share our passion for improving quality of life. You are a seasoned Fire Protection professional with strong industry ties and demonstrated credibility in a design consulting environment. You will come to us with:
- Relevant qualifications needed to certify fire protection designs, such as professional engineering registration, CPEng RPEQ, FPAS accreditation or similar
- Wet and Dry fire system Revit modelling experience is highly desirable.
- 5-7+ years' demonstrated experience on delivery of wet and dry fire design projects within a broad range of sectors including infrastructure, commercial, health, education, and retail projects. Special hazard/mission critical experience; advantageous
- Confidence in coordinating and liaising effectively with clients and contractors to secure successful outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in delivery of medium to large scale projects to clients through all project phases
- The ability to work within or lead a project in a complex challenging environment.
