**Job Opportunity: Senior Fire Protection Engineer - Canberra**

WSP Canberra is seeking an experienced **Senior Fire Protection Engineer** to join our dynamic Building Services team. You'll contribute to impactful projects across **civic and public infrastructure, defence, commercial, and education** sectors.

**What You'll Do**

As a Senior Fire Protection Engineer, you will:

+ Lead wet and dry fire protection design across small to medium-scale projects, while contributing to larger multidisciplinary project teams.

+ Ensure all engineering designs meet technical, regulatory, safety, and commercial requirements.

+ Produce high-quality, accurate, and compliant fire protection documentation.

+ Collaborate effectively with clients, authorities, and internal project teams to drive project success.

+ Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to grow WSP's presence in the Canberra market.

+ Mentor and support junior engineers within the Property & Buildings team.

**About You**

+ Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, or similar) or equivalent industry experience.

+ **6+ years' experience** in Australian building services, specifically in fire protection engineering.

+ Detailed knowledge of relevant Codes and Standards (AS/NZS, NCC, etc.).

+ Consulting engineering experience preferred; D&C contracting backgrounds also considered.

+ Familiarity with BIM platforms (Revit, NavisWorks) is advantageous.

+ Ability to work on projects requiring security clearance (citizenship preferred).
